Greed is the descendants from the old creators of SynCorp, he got lot of experiments on him to make him a modified human.
He grew up on the side of Monochrome, which used to be a "RatLab" to conceive the modified DNA for Greed, therefore they have similar powers and DNA.

After being successfully modified by his family, Monochrome was supposed to be killed and threw away, but Greed became friend with her with time and as an opposition of her death he made a contract with her, which made him her "Master" following the contract Monochrome gained a status and enough power to be something else then a RatLab, and became the Gate Keeper of Kino's District.

Greed isn't really following rule of the Corp, and always thought that this war going on between Kino's District and Humans made no sense, he's acting as a though guy but really just want to spend time with his friend "Chromie" or thats how he call her.

He heard someone made it through the Gate and through Monochrome, he really want to meet her and talk to her about how things are in the district, he want to make a new friend.
